The Indy Bears competition jump rope team will perform at four HSE elementary schools on behalf of the American Heart Association to inspire students to participate in Jump Rope for Heart campaigns. Presentations take place on Friday, February 9th, at the following times and places:
Geist Elementary – 9:20 a.m.
Lantern Road Elementary – 10:15 a.m.
New Britton Elementary – 2 p.m.
Harrison Parkway Elementary – 3:15 p.m.
Eight HSE elementary schools are planning Jump Rope for Heart fund-raising drives and events in February and March. As a district, HSE schools raised $99,146.89 with jump rope events last year; in fact, Geist Elementary was the top fun-raising school in the state with $25,980.20. Students collect pledges and jump rope for set amounts of time.
