Selection and Style Await at Pratts Floor Covering

Choosing the finishes for a new home, or the products to renovate a well-loved one, can be difficult. Paint colors, furnishings and decorative elements are the finishing touches. But everything needs a good foundation, and that comes from flooring choices.
At Pratts Floor Covering showroom in Plymouth, customers can get a sense of the types of flooring available, look at samples, and get skilled advice from the owners Matt and Carla Pratt, who have almost three decades of industry know-how to share with their customers.
When it comes to flooring, there are so many options to choose from that sometimes it can become overwhelming for our customers, Carla Pratt says.
Those choices include hardwood, vinyl, ceramic and carpet. Under each of these categories are even more choices. Should a homeowner choose engineered hardwoods or solid hardwoods? Would ceramic or porcelain tile work better in that new bathroom? Which type of carpeting will hold up to the rigors of everyday life?
When working with our customers we listen to their needs and their ideas, Pratt says. We then find what style fits the decor in their home and a flooring that will stand up best for their lifestyle. We want every customer to leave feeling confident and secure about their floor covering decision.
Matt and Carla started their flooring business in 1992 from their home. Matt had previous installation experience, and the business started off small.
After several years, the business grew and so did the need for more space, Pratt explains. We then moved our business to Jefferson Street here in Plymouth. After several years there we decided to build a larger shop and in 2006 we built our shop, located at 303 North Oak Drive in Plymouth. Here we have room for a large showroom for our customers to shop, and a large warehouse that we keep stocked with flooring specials for our customers.
As the business grew, it also became important to stay up to date with new styles and flooring options. Styles change, and so do customers needs. New products are developed, and floor coverings, finishes and products go in and out of style.
At Pratts Floor Covering LLC, we work hard to stay on top of all the new styles and updates in floor covering, Pratt says. We enjoy bringing in new styles and showing the latest ideas in floor covering to our customers. Its exciting to show our customers the latest ideas and the beautiful selection we have. We carry many displays and samples in our showroom for our customers to look through.
Pratts Floor Covering has a large selection of carpet, vinyl, laminate, tile, hardwood flooring and countertops. Their online gallery features photographs of projects, including vanities, tile shelves, tiled showers and shower doors. The business features products from a wide selection of national manufacturers including Mohawk, Armstrong, Congoleum, Stanton, Taylor Wirth Ltd. and many more.
We also carry custom cabinetry, Pratt says. We are very excited about this. We are in the midst right now of setting up a display and many samples of all the beautiful selections in cabinetry.
Customers will soon be able to choose the species of wood, cabinet style, door style, and design specifics such as height and width. Other design details open to the customer include stain and paint colors, inset or glass door fronts, and special requests.
Pratts also handles the installation of everything that they sell. They specialize in tiled showers.
