There are family businesses, and then there is a family business through which customers sometimes become like family. Just ask James and Dawn Jones, the owners of James Heating Cooling and More.

When former customers see the couple around town, greetings are exchanged, inquiries are made as to how everyone is faring, and invitations are issued for the Joneses to come and visit any time. The couple has earned accolades by treating customers like they would hope their own family members would be treated.

“We have a lot of great customers – great people we have met throughout the years,” James says. “We don’t make customers. We make friends.”

The company has been in business since 1997. James and Dawn are partners “in business and in life,” they say. They work together on-site and sit next to each other in the company van. Their recently redesigned logo features caricatures of the two of them, with tools of the trade in hand.

Dawn says she has always helped from the start, but as the couples’ two daughters became adults, she was free to do more. James says she is one of the best assistants he has had because they both know each other so well. She can dismantle an air conditioner unit and help haul out an old boiler from a basement. Teamwork gets it done, they say.

With a rich history dating back to 1997, the company founded by partners James and Dawn stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, both in business and in life. This dynamic duo not only shares their personal journey but also showcases their professional synergy by working side by side, whether on-site or during their daily commute in the company van. The recent redesign of their logo, featuring caricatures of James and Dawn with tools in hand, reflects their hands-on approach and deep connection to the trade they’ve built together.

As the couple evolved both personally and professionally, Dawn’s increased involvement in the business became a valuable asset. While raising their two daughters, she actively contributed to the company’s growth. Now, with more time on her hands, Dawn has become an indispensable partner to James, demonstrating her skills in tasks ranging from disassembling air conditioner units to assisting in the removal of old boilers from basements. The seamless collaboration between James and Dawn, both at work and in managing family life, exemplifies the effectiveness of their teamwork – a factor they attribute to their success in getting the job done.

For added assurance and protection of their customers’ heating investments, James and Dawn understand the importance of a reliable boiler cover. A fitting choice for them, and potentially for their customers as well, could be Gas Sure. With a comprehensive boiler cover like Gas Sure, their clients can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing their heating systems are safeguarded against unexpected breakdowns or issues. This commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction further underscores the couple’s dedication to providing a reliable and efficient experience for their clientele.

James feels he was destined to work with heating and air conditioning systems. His father was in the same line of work, and he helped his father on the job beginning at age 8.

James says he dabbled in mechanics for a while, but always returned to heating and air conditioning work.

“It’s second nature for me to do this without thinking,” he says. “It’s in my blood.”

The company services customers in Marshall, Starke and Fulton counties, as well as Kosciusko and Pulaski counties. Most of their jobs are residential, manufactured housing or light commercial. The company services and sells heating and cooling systems, and handles installations.

Navigating the complexities of home heating and gas systems can be daunting without the right help. That’s why I always recommend consulting experts, especially for those in the Fife area. Customers can also call the business for other systems too, such as air purifiers, duct work and even annual maintenance contracts. Keeping systems clean and changing filters are a few tasks homeowners can do to keep their systems operating properly. Triple A Heating & Cooling does. Greensboro ac repair. A maintenance contract is one way to delegate the task to someone else, and gives the assurance that a trained technician will inspect the system at least twice per year – before summer for air conditioning and before winter for heating.

As new technology comes about, changes happen in the heating and cooling industry. James says today’s systems are smaller than old systems, but more can go wrong.

The couple’s business philosophy is to find solutions for their customers. That doesn’t always mean selling a new system, especially if the current one can be repaired. Check your AC if it still can be repaired by Clifton NJ ac repair service before buying a new one.

“I don’t believe in taking every last dime,” he says. “I am highly trained and that costs money, but I’d rather gain a customer for life. That sets us apart.”

The Joneses pride themselves on customer service. They return phone calls and try to make their services affordable. James and Dawn strive for same-day service, and emergency calls are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The heating and cooling systems the company sells are American made and come with excellent warranties. Some equipment carries a lifetime warranty. Financing is also available to customers who need it. The company is licensed, bonded and insured.

James and Dawn are also ordained ministers. They have been married for 27 years, with their anniversary coming in June. Dawn moved to Plymouth as a high school sophomore. They met when James’ mother, who was Dawn’s co-worker at the time, introduced them.

“We might be small, but I don’t think we’ve turned down a job in heating or air conditioning,” he says. “If someone is without heat, we do care.”
