Yoo Direct Health Specializes in Wellness, Functional, Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine

Nurse Practitioner Lexi Yoo started Yoo Direct Health in 2018 as a single-care provider specializing in wellness, functional, anti-aging and aesthetic medicine. Previously she worked in bariatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics and urgent care. Her varied background allowed her to determine the direction of patient care in the future. 

Fast forward to 2022, and Yoo Direct Health has experienced meteoric growth in the last few years. The practice now includes two additional nurse practitioner providers, Haley Cook and Mara Wattam, a nurse injector, Carmen Puckett, along with a full-time health coach, Alex Marston.

The team looks for root causes of a patient’s health issues with a focus on hormone optimization, gut health, thyroid and adrenals. The staff educates patients, helps to create a better foundation with nutrition and lifestyle changes, and provides a care plan that could include bioidentical hormone optimization and peptides and/or nutraceuticals.

“We have an overabundance of patients, which is great,” Lexi says. “We have so many small-business owners who have been extremely supportive by sending their friends and relatives to us. Our growth has always been organic and through word-of-mouth advertising. What has always been so surprising to me is the number of patients who aren’t local. We have patients from out of state, and this past year we’ve even gotten patients from outside the country.” 

The growth of the practice has led to a need for additional space in her current office location in Noblesville. Lexi and her husband Min, Director of Operations, started researching for a new, larger office space for the future. 

“We decided to build a new building so we could design it for our specific use,” Lexi says. “Currently we’re housed in approximately 1,600 square feet. This new building will be around 24,000 square feet, and we’ll occupy about 10,000 of it. Our goal is to rent the rest of the space to one or two other tenants.”

The new building will be located in Noblesville near the intersection of 146th Street and Cumberland Road, and should be completed by the end of 2022 or early 2023. The Yoo Direct Health staff aims to offer additional services in the new space beyond the basic medical model, including regenerative medicine. Instead of injecting a patient with hydrocortisone to manage knee pain, Lexi might utilize a patient’s platelet-rich plasma (PRP). 

The practice is unique because it offers wellness services and medical-grade aesthetics. Those medical-grade aesthetics include services like PDO threads. The staff at Yoo Direct Health can tailor services around the client’s goals and preferences.

“Our goal at the practice is whatever is best for the patient and whatever is the preference of the patient,” Lexi says. “We might have someone come in for aesthetics and say they want to live a completely toxin-free life. Instead of Botox we might do PRP.”
