Dr. Matthew Vogt always dreamed of creating a dental practice focused on providing excellent dental care and an exceptional patient experience. Founding The Dentists at Gateway Crossing in April 2018, he has fulfilled that goal, stating simply: “We care about people, not just teeth.”

Dr. Vogt hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has called Indianapolis home for nearly a decade. He came to Indiana in 2009 to major in biology at Butler University and then went on to study at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. During his time at IU, he honed his skills in all aspects of dentistry in preparation to open his own practice, later planting roots in McCordsville.

“Growing up, I hated the sights and smells of the traditional dental office,“ Vogt says. “My vision was to build a modern, comfortable practice that patients would actually enjoy visiting.”

One of Dr. Vogt’s business goals is to grow with the local community, actively supporting the Mt. Vernon School District, Mt. Vernon Optimist Club and other local organizations.

“For us, it’s all about forming lifelong relationships with our patients and providing them with exceptional care,” Dr. Vogt says. “I truly love what I do and feel privileged to create beautiful smiles on a daily basis. We’re always striving to add value and positivity to our patients’ lives.”

Another goal of Dr. Vogt’s is to offer convenience and comfort for patients by providing a full range of services within the four walls of his office. He has completed numerous advanced training courses to be able to offer procedures like Invisalign, dental implants and cosmetic dentistry to patients. Whether one needs a simple check-up or a complete smile makeover, his team is available.

“I’m a total dental nerd,” says Vogt with a laugh. “If there’s a way to increase the level of clinical excellence we provide for our patients, I do my best to learn everything about it and incorporate it into our practice.”

Dr. Vogt’s practice is unique because of its low-pressure, laid-back atmosphere, making it welcoming for adults and children alike. He knows that some people have fear and hesitation about going to the dentist, so he designed the practice specifically to help minimize dental phobia.

“We take pride in making sure our patients are comfortable,” he says. “We don’t care if it’s been six months or six years since you’ve last seen the dentist. This is a judgment-free office, and we’re here to serve.”

Modern amenities at The Dentists at Gateway Crossing include refreshments, blankets and pillows, aromatherapy, noise-canceling headphones, free WiFi, and 55” TVs with cable and Netflix. They utilize comfortable anesthesia and relaxation options, including sedation dentistry and nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) as well as modern clinical techniques to eliminate pain and anxiety.

Dr. Vogt speaks highly of his team.

“These ladies are such a huge part of who we are as a practice,” he says. “They are always going the extra mile for our patients and do such a wonderful job of welcoming them into our family. I am so grateful for the warmth and compassion they provide for our patients.”

Looking forward, Dr. Vogt hopes that The Dentists at Gateway Crossing will evolve into a place where multiple dentists and specialists provide care for all patient needs under one roof. For now, they’re taking things one smile at a time.

“We have early, late and weekend hours available, we see emergencies same-day, and we work with nearly all PPO insurance plans,” Dr. Vogt adds. “I personally call our new patients before their appointments and everyone who receives treatment in our office. We strive to be there for our patients and this community in everything we do.

“Oftentimes we’ll hear someone say that they wished they had called us sooner. Whether you need a routine cleaning or have suffered through pain, fear or embarrassment, know that we’re here for you, and we plan on being here for a long time.”

The Dentists at Gateway Crossing is located at 6621 W Broadway STE 600 in McCordsville. You can learn more by visiting them online at thedentistsatgc.com or giving them a call at 317-643-9434.
