Four HSE Graduates Make College Commitments for Cheerleading

Four HSE graduates — Sabrina Richards, Emily Huffine, Maddy Bray and Hannah Conrad — committed to different colleges for cheerleading. Richards and Huffine will both attend Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The Cardinals are an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Mid America Conference under the direction of Coach Brenda Jamerson. Bray will attend Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, a NAIA Division II school that competes in the Crossroads League. Conrad will attend the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Crimson Tide are an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Southeastern Conference under the direction of Coaches Jennifer Thrasher and Brandon Prince.

Richards, Huffine and Bray earned four varsity letters in cheerleading at HSE. Conrad earned three varsity letters in cheerleading along with three in track & field. During their time in high school, the Royals made it to an ISPA State Championship in 2011 and 2012, won State Runner Up in 2013, and went to the National Championship in 2013.

Both Richards and Huffine were named ISPA All-State cheerleaders during their senior year and Bray was a 2014 UCA All-American Cheerleader. Hannah was the competition cheer squad’s recipient of the Set-A-Good-Example (SAGE) Award. She was a 2-year member of HSE’s Student Athletic Council (SAC) and the student liaison on the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation.
