Experience Randall Residence at Gateway Park

Choosing to transition from a home to an assisted living facility can be a challenging decision for seniors and their families. With a legacy of nearly 50 years in senior care across the Great Lakes region, the Randall family has established a reputation for exceptional care. At Randall Residence at Gateway Park in Greenfield, their newest location, this commitment to personalized care continues.

“Randall Residence at Gateway Park is a vibrant, 55-and-up rental senior community,” explains Amanda Bryan, director of sales. “We offer a range of lifestyle options, including 32 cottages, 56 independent-living apartments, 60 assisted-living units, and 30 memory-care options. Each level of care is accompanied by a comprehensive service package, ensuring the highest level of skilled care is always available.”

One of the unique aspects of Randall Residence at Gateway Park is its location. Nestled near the bustling Hancock Health Gateway Park, which is poised for significant development in the coming years, the community offers a vibrant and evolving neighborhood for residents. With easy access to the Hancock Health, Starbucks and the surrounding walking paths, the location is designed to promote an active and engaging lifestyle. Currently, walking trails stretch for a mile and a half, with plans to expand to three miles in the future.

The cottages are maintenance-free duplex homes with three different floor plans for potential residents. The independent-living apartments are offered in studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans, and come with a full kitchen, handicap-accessible bathroom, spacious living and dining space, and abundant natural light. Two of the memory-care units are companion suites, allowing two people to live together.

“We have so many options for seniors that they can truly age in place,” says Janelle Randall, marketing and brand manager. “They can move out to our campus and live out the rest of their wonderful years with so many exciting amenities and excellent care.”

Some of the stimulating amenities include the Redenbacher Theater, fitness center, salon and barber shop, chapel, courtyard and picnic areas, transportation, pickleball courts, and walking paths. In addition, there are multiple dining options throughout the campus, including White River Bistro.

“We have a lot of unique activity spaces throughout the building,” Bryan says. “We have an activity center and a magnificent space for arts and crafts. Also, we have a multipurpose room called the Riley Center. We use that for various large-group activities such as our resident birthday parties every month, bingo, and resident council, where residents can speak to us about things they would like to see us doing or events they’d like to see us host.”

Residents have a team of highly skilled caregivers and activity coordinators assisting with their daily needs. Randall says the team always tries to incorporate physical, mental and emotional activities to help residents grow as they age. Recent outings include an Indianapolis Indians game and a trip to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle, as requested by residents.

“In memory care, for instance, we have a memory-care coordinator who specializes in activities that help our residents with dementia and varying types of Alzheimer’s,” Bryan says. “It’s a very active social activity calendar with activities happening about every half an hour, so that we can try and engage them as much as possible. Nurse aides and a memory-care coordinator are working together in that area. We also have an activities director that assists in coordinating fun and engaging activities for our assisted-living residents and independent living.”

Randall Residence at Gateway Park is a private-pay facility with various tools to assist seniors and their families in planning their future living arrangements. A self-assessment evaluation helps determine what type of living plan is best for each individual’s needs. Seniors and their families can also use the calculator tool to assess their cost of living.

“We want potential residents to come to our campus and get a feel for it,” Randall says. “We want them to feel what life is like at Randall Residence. Before the tour, we spend some time in the Welcome Center and discuss their wants and needs. We love learning about people’s likes or dislikes, such as their need for outdoor space, for flowers and plants. For some people, a view is much more important, so we work to try and fulfill those needs as best we can.”

Randall says that while Randall Residence at Gateway Park may be new to the area, it is not a new provider. She says it has a long history of providing excellent care and service to its residents.
