MSDLT Wins Indiana Department of Education Excellence in Performance Grant
The MSD of Lawrence Township has been awarded the 2013-2014 Excellence in Performance Grant. Priority and Focus Title I schools were eligible to receive this grant to award teachers that were rated Effective or Highly Effective during the 2012-2013 school year. Qualifying teachers must have worked in the award school in 2012-2013 and continued to be employed in Lawrence Township for 2013-2014. A total of $73,884.80 will be awarded to 160 teachers across five buildings.
District Director of Grants, Research & Program Assessment, Pat Gerber, states, “In Lawrence Township, we believe it is important to acknowledge the hard work of, and to provide incentive to, our effective and highly effective teachers who choose to serve our students in high poverty schools.”
