More than $70,000 was raised at the “Light Their Future 30th Anniversary Gala,” held on Feb. 22, 2014 as an annual fundraiser of the Lawrence Township School Foundation. TownePost’s own Tom Britt served as emcee as more than 500 people bid on auction items.
The district’s 20 schools benefit greatly from the dollars raised at the gala; more than four million dollars have been raised over the past 30 years. There are 300,000 students in Lawrence Township schools, making it the state’s tenth largest school district.
