Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is thrilled to announce Indiana’s first store grand opening at 8750 US Highway 31 in the Indianapolis/Greenwood community. Doors open Thursday, June 12 at 7 a.m. Fresh Thyme CEO Chris Sherrell will join the Greenwood and Indianapolis Chambers of Commerce in the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:45 a.m. During the ceremony, Fresh Thyme will present matching donations of $2,500 to local nonprofit organizations Second Helpings and Johnson County Community Foundation.
“This is our first step toward bringing hundreds of jobs to the Crossroads of America,” Sherrell said. “It’s exciting to join a community that has always valued farm fresh produce.”
The first 250 guests on grand opening day will receive a limited edition, custom-designed Fresh Thyme reusable bag created specifically for Greenwood which will be filled with over $50 worth of healthy, delicious groceries! Guests should arrive early to reserve their spot in line; limit one bag per household.
Grand Opening Events Schedule
6:45 a.m.: Ribbon cutting and Community Partners check presentation
7 a.m.: Doors open
10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Kids’ activities including complimentary face paintings and balloon animals and Boar’s Head Hot Dog Cart
11 a.m.-1 p.m. & 3-5 p.m.: Outdoor grilling/natural meat sampling
11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Live music
2-7 p.m.: In-store cooking show
Samplings and giveaways will continue throughout the weekend—in celebration of Father’s Day, guests will be treated to outstanding prices on exclusive natural grilling items. Basilmomma, Indy’s own cooking personality, will host a Q&A and cooking demonstration Sunday, 12-3 p.m.
