Cub Reporter Wins Indiana High School Press Association Award

The 2006-07 Cub Reporter, Lawrence Central’s student newspaper, has been named a merit award winner by the Indiana High School Press Association. As such, it is a runner-up to the Hoosier Star, the best in the state.

 

Four staff members won individual accolades. Junior Will Stuller took first place in feature photography and 2007 graduate Dan Jordan took first place in news writing. Graduate Elise Fullam captured second place in communication graphics and an honorable mention in page design. Graduate Kelly Nash took an honorable mention in editorial writing.

 

The yearbook staff also captured honors. Whitney Herrmann, editor of the 2006-07 edition, took second place in theme development.
