Cambridge Resident Donates 4 Tickets to Soldier for Christmas

Many of you read the small classified ad in the October issue of the “atGeist Community Newsletter” entitled “Colts Tickets Wanted.” I sat next to this young lady named Kim Taylor at the Kenny Chesney concert last month who was telling us that she was trying to buy tickets for the Colts/Titans game after Christmas. Her husband is stationed in Iraq and he’s been gone for over a year. It will be his first Christmas home in two years. Well, it didn’t take long for Cambridge resident Rory Underwood to pick up the phone and call offering his club level seats behind the Colts bench to our new best friend who lives in Whiteland.

“I read it and thought it would be a good thing to do,” said Underwood. “We go to all the games. This will be one that we won’t mind missing knowing that a soldier and his family will be in our seats.”

It’s days like today that I just shake my head and thank God that I live in such a great community as Geist.
