City of Fishers Curating a Time Capsule to Coincide with Sesquicentennial Celebration
The City of Fishers is kicking off its 150th anniversary this month and a special commemoration of the celebration will take place. Residents, business leaders, and City of Fishers officials are curating a time capsule to be placed in the keystone of the new Fishers Arts & Municipal Complex next year. This time capsule will be used to collect and house artifacts to document today’s history for Fishers residents to open in 2073.
Scott Fadness, the Mayor of Fishers, gives his thoughts on the idea. “Special milestones, like the Sesquicentennial are important for our community to recognize, celebrate, and remember what has made our city the place it is today. I look forward to seeing what our past and current residents can bring together to memorialize our past for future generations.”
