The Indiana Department of Education has released accountability grades for school corporations around the state.

The grades were made public following the vote by the Indiana State Board of Education.

According to a release, the grades were determined after individual school grades were determined at the State Board of Education’s December meeting.

The Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township retained a grade of ‘B’, though point levels dropped slightly from a 3.11 to a 3.03.

MSDLT Superintendent Dr.  Shawn Smith said, “Let’s go for an A.  I know its difficult and challenging, but let’s think what’s possible. ”

The report shows Indianapolis Public Schools received an F grade for its second year. F grades were also given to Gary Community School Corporation, School City of East Chicago and Medora Community School Corporation this year.
