PetPeopleShannon Dorris, manager of PetPeople in Fishers, says pets and their health are more important now than ever before.

“It’s been a crazy time for everyone, and having a pet can really help relieve stress,” Dorris says. “One of the great things about PetPeople is that we give everyone a nice neighborhood pet supply store to visit. We have received a very warm reception since we opened. People who have stopped in here could not be friendlier.”

PetPeople is one of the newest pet stores in Fishers located at the Fishers District.

“We already have a lot of loyal customers who keep coming back,” Dorris says. “It’s been great to see people come in with specific questions and items they are looking for. We have an excellent staff that can answer any questions our customers have about pet nutrition and pet supplies. We really engage with our customers, and find out what is best for their particular pets. I think that sets us apart from competitors.”

Dorris says dog and cat toys are especially hot items at the store.

“One of the other things that makes us unique is that we are also very well known as a store that has nutritious and natural pet foods, treats, and excellent supplies,” Dorris says. “Our pet food products do not have corn, wheat, soy or by-products. We also educate pet owners on a pet’s diet, and how they can eat and live healthier. We also have natural and limited ingredient treats that keep pets (and owners) wanting to come back for more.”

PetPeopleThe focus on pet nutrition has helped the PetPeople chain flourish.

“We have 81 stores now,” Dorris says. “Pet owners appreciate being able to get pet foods that will help their animals be healthier and stronger. We really want them to thrive.”

Dorris adds that Fishers is an ideal location.

“There are so many wonderful places around here at the Fishers District, and we have had a lot of walk-in business,” Dorris says. “People love to stop in for pet treats and toys. Fishers was selected because it’s such a great place to live that just keeps growing.”

Dorris stresses that pets are welcome at PetPeople.

“As long as your pet is on a leash, we highly encourage people to bring them in so we can spoil them and make them apart of the PetPeople family,” Dorris says. “We are looking forward to watching the pets that come in here grow and build long-lasting relationships with them and their owners.”

PetPeople has continued to thrive, despite COVID-19.
