To say that La Hacienda Mexican Restaurants have been wildly successful in Indianapolis would be an understatement.
The well-liked restaurant chain has been a go-to place for delicious food at a great price for many years, and La Hacienda now has a new and spacious Geist location at 11677 Fox Road.
We opened in mid-November. The construction took about 3-4 months, says Manuel Perez, manager of the new Fox Road location.
Geist residents have been happy to see La Hacienda in its new location, and the restaurant, known for its fast service, has been a hit.
We have been busy at dinner time, Perez says. People who like the other restaurants have come here.
Perez said he cant complain, about the loyal customers or the great location.
People know what they are going to get here, he says. Its all good. They really like all of the menu items.
Everything at the clean and homey La Hacienda is made fresh daily, and Perez acknowledged that has helped the restaurant become a reliable mainstay in the Indianapolis area.
Perez noted that the first La Hacienda opened in 1997 at 3874 Lafayette Road. It was one of the first Mexican restaurants in Indianapolis and is still drawing in large crowds of hungry family members and their friends.
Perez, who has also worked at the 5625 Lawton Road Lawrence location, acknowledged that all the La Hacienda locations boast fresh, mouth-watering food, outstanding customer service, generous portions and a large menu of choices.
The house favorites at La Hacienda include the Chimichangas, and the Hacienda Chefs Special, a tender skirt steak with onion, bell peppers and tomatoes. Its served with a chicken enchilada, beans, guacamole, pico de Gallo and tortillas. Other favorites include the Enchilada Super Hacienda, which includes five enchiladas, and the Burritos Deluxe, among others.
The Sizzling Fajitas get ordered quite often and include the tasty shrimp fajitas and Hacienda Fajitas, with a little bit of everything from grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, chorizo (Mexican sausage), and pork.
Perez doesnt have any particular personal favorites on La Haciendas extensive menu.
I really like everything on the menu, Perez says. Its all very good.
The seafood cant be beat, and includes the Fiesta Tilapia, the Tostadas Camarones, which includes two tostadas topped with shrimp and pico de Gallo, and Arroz Con Camarones, plump grilled shrimp with rice, covered with melted cheese and served with tortillas.
Perez acknowledged that La Hacienda has always been a great place for families and friends to gather, have a great meal and have a good time.
Childrens plates for families include a variety of choices, and Perez says the bar has been a hit with adults.
We have drink specials that people really enjoy, Perez says. We have heard good things.
One of the most popular La Hacienda mainstays has been the large choice of combination options with tacos, enchiladas, tamales, burritos and more.
We want people who like all the other La Hacienda (locations) to come and visit us here at our new place, Perez says.
