When a bank is called Community First Bank (CFB), you might just think it’s a ploy to show local support. But, for the bank and its employees, it really is the main focus of all that they do — putting the community first in every way.
Community First Bank of Indiana first opened its doors 18 years ago in Howard County and has since expanded into Hamilton County, bringing its patented “Community First” approach to Westfield in 2019. The bank’s mortgage department is based in Westfield, but it serves all of Hamilton County.
Janelle Campbell, Mortgage Loan Officer, is highly active within her community, serving on boards, celebrating with her church and giving back in any way possible. Her focus is not only on serving as an employee of CFB, but serving as a genuinely helpful citizen. Janelle, her husband, Nick, and their 5 kids live in Westfield.
“My community is very important to me and I’m passionate about Westfield. I get the opportunity every day to serve my neighbors at work and serve our community in the process. When we all give back, either by investing in someone we work with or supporting clients well or volunteering in our community, we make the world a little better.”
Janelle is the current Chairwoman of the Westfield Chamber of Commerce, a founding member of Women of Westfield, and heavily involved with Westfield Youth Assistance Program and the Westfield Mayor’s Yellow Tie Gala. She began working at Community First Bank in 2015 after being a lifelong customer. Professionally, Janelle has developed a reputation of superb client service with a focus on communication with her clients and REALTORS throughout the mortgage process. She enjoys helping families meet their financial goals through home ownership and values the relationships she develops along the way.
“It makes your work more meaningful when you know you’re going to come to work and have fun doing something you truly care about,” Campbell says. “I care deeply about those I get to serve through my role, but about my community as well, which I hold as a high priority.”
And it’s a priority of all employees of Community First Bank: the community, and all the people connected to it, comes first.
