“While the school receives money from the state through the new Voucher Program, there are still many students and families who fall into another category of unmet need,” explains principal, Mrs. Betty Popp. “The voucher only assists students who transfer from a public school. It does not support those transferring from private school, nor those already attending a Catholic School who would meet the state’s guidelines. Additionally, there are families who succumb to hard times, such as a loss of job or health issues who need assistance after the state’s enrollment window has closed. Our church and school support these families through various fundraisers and generous donors such as the group today.”

The money Saints Francis & Clare received from the state for tuition assistance this year meets less than half of our entire need this year.

The money donated is a result of the SCBPs annual fundraiser at the Colts Complex which raised over $20,000 last year for schools such as Saints Francis & Clare, Roncalli and other area Catholic Schools. The SCBP core values: Catholic Faith, Charitable Works, and Business Networking.
