The first year’s event drew large crowds and raised about $13,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Indiana Chapter. In 2011, it drew even bigger crowds, nearly 50 “dragstars”, and raised more than $27,000. Last year’s donation of $30,000 brought the total over the years to more than $70,000. Event planners hope to take that grand total over the $100,000 mark in 2013.
