contributor, JJ Kaplan of Color My World Studio, was recently recognized for her excellence in photography by the Indianapolis Professional Photographers Guild (IPPG) during their annual Fall Seminar September 15-16.
Entering competition prints ranging from senior portraits, equine and architecture, she captured the Gold Corner Award for all prints submitted. One of her prints, featuring Zionsville senior Mia Kaehler during her AQUA SESSION, was recognized for its impact and storytelling. In addition, her senior album, “Seniorology,” also earned recognition for outstanding senior portraits in Indianapolis.
It is certainly not surprising to us at the Zionsville Community Newsletter that JJ’s photographs would be recognized for excellence by her peers in the IPPG. We have become accustomed to JJ providing this magazine with outstanding photographs every month that add so much to the quality of this publication. After she submitted some photographs for our first issue in April, JJ Kaplan quickly became our go-to photographer to shoot our cover photos, including this month. In addition to the compliments we regularly receive on JJ’s photos, we also routinely hear from the people that JJ is photographing just how wonderful it was to work with her.
