On Saturday, June 15, the Central Indiana Region Porsche Club of America will once again line the streets of downtown Zionsville with nearly 100 shining Porsche cars for its 3rd annual event, “CruZionsville.” The cars will be coming from five states. The event has gotten so big that they will now be using two blocks along Main Street.

At 10:00 a.m., Porsche cars will leave the staging area at the Meadows via Police escort to downtown Zionsville. There will be the singing of the National Anthem at the Midwest Estate Stage (set up in the parking lot on the south end of Main Street) at 10:30 followed immediately by a balloon launch. The event will have something for everyone in the family. In addition to the dazzling cars, throughout the day there will be entertainment at the Midwest Estate Stage that will include several musical performances and a fashion show by local Zionsville designer Nikki Blaine. The cars will be leaving downtown around 3:00 p.m.

Children ready to begin judging.

The event organizers are once again looking for children to participate in the car-judging activities. Anyone between the ages of 6 and 12 interested in participating as a judge should send an email to Stephen Tarr, sdtarr@aol.com, describing your interests in cars and why you think you would make a good judge.

The proceeds of the Cruzionsville event go to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter – a great cause. Last year, the event raised $5,000. This year’s goal is $10,000. Admission is free to the public.
