Three Fishers Elementary Students participated in the Central Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair at the Indiana State Fairgrounds March 18, and two earned recognition.
Payton Stout from Agnes Pugel’s class presented a project on “Plant Growth Using Supplements” and received a first place biology award and a third place communication award. Courtney Hull from Pugel’s class presented a project titled “Magnet Magic” and received the first place for fourth grade girls and best of show from the D.J. Angus Scientech Educational Foundation. Tristan Strobel from Denise Jarrett’s class presented a project titled “Maximizing the Distance.”
In addition, Pugel received the Lewis A. Marshall Award of Merit for outstanding leadership and sponsoring students in science competitions.
