“Barring any weather problems, we are on schedule to complete this by the end of this year,” said Matt Knight with the Hamilton County Highway Department.
When completed, the Olio Road bridge will feature four lanes for traffic, a four-foot concrete median and a 10-foot walking path with a protective handrail matching the Fall Creek Parkway bridge.
Boaters passing under the bridge will notice two piers to navigate around instead of the current four.
“We will be switching the lanes over the first week of August,” added Knight.
