Craig Middle School hosted the first annual “Souper” Bowl food drive to help collect soup and other canned food items for Gleaners Food Bank. The two week event took place from December 3rd to December 14th. The highlight of the “Souper” Bowl was a pie throwing competition. Any CMS student donating ten cans to the drive had the opportunity to throw a shaving cream pie at Craig Principal Troy Knoderer. Approximately 65 students took advantage of this opportunity to toss pies during their lunch period. Other staff members, besides Principal Knoderer, who volunteered to be “pied” by students, included Assistant Principal Tim Smith, science teacher Bill Castino, and language arts teacher Jeff Mann. The event raised approximately 1500 food items for Gleaners food bank.
