With construction work nearly completed, Fishers traffic engineers have opened the much anticipated (or maligned, depending on your point of view) traffic roundabout at the three-way intersection of Fall Creek and Brook School Rds., just east of Geist Reservoir.
Traffic is now flowing in unrestricted fashion as the roundabout is functioning as intended. However, some finishing touches are still underway, including landscaping, so technically the intersection remains a construction zone.
According to a Fishers news release, “the existing signal has been turned off and signage will guide traffic in the correct direction. Drivers entering the roundabout should yield to drivers inside of the roundabout. This is still a construction zone and the speed limit is 25 mph.”
Planners anticipate that all roadwork will be completed by July 4th, just in time for the Blast on the Bridge at Geist.
