The United Way of Johnson County kicked-off its annual fundraising campaign last Thursday, August 29. This year’s goal is $1,488,000! Following the kick-off breakfast more than 315 volunteers participated the “Day of Caring. ” The 2013 Day of Caring was sponsored by Caterpillar, CenturyLink, Community Health Network, Duke Energy, Dunham Rubber and Belting Corporation, Heartland Community Bank, Johnson Memorial Hospital, Mitsubishi and NSK.
