Dear Carmel Resident,
As I embark on my tenure as Mayor of this remarkable city, I am filled with excitement and a profound sense of responsibility. Our community is a unique and special place, brimming with diverse talents, perspectives, and boundless potential.
Carmel has so much to offer for people of all ages and backgrounds, and I hope you’ll take advantage of all of it. We are proud of our safe neighborhoods, excellent schools, beautiful parks and trails, and a thriving Main Street with unique shops and restaurants. Carmel also boasts a rich tapestry of culture, diverse cultural attractions, and a commitment to progress. With our convenient location in Central Indiana and strong local economy, this is an ideal place to live, work, and raise a family.
For those new residents of Carmel, getting involved is one of the best ways to quickly feel at home here. I encourage residents both old and new to explore our city’s many events and activities, from concerts at the Palladium and winter traditions like the Carmel Christkindlmarkt, to recreational sports leagues through Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation and volunteer opportunities at our countless community organizations. Don’t be afraid to get out there, meet new people, and become part of what makes this community so special.
Our city staff and I are committed to providing outstanding services to provide and maintain a world-class quality of life for all residents. Please take advantage of the resources and amenities your tax dollars support. We also value input from citizens, so never hesitate to reach out to me or other city officials with your questions, concerns, or ideas about how we can continue improving. I personally enjoy meeting with residents and business owners outside of City Hall and in our coffee shops and businesses, having conversations to understand more about what people love about the City of Carmel.
