Camp Invention Celebrates 10th Year at Crestview

Camp InventionNearly 60 future inventors had the opportunity to imagine creations made from recycled materials last week when Crestview Elementary School hosted Camp Invention. This was the tenth year the Lawrence Township School was a host site for the program, which is sponsored in part by the U.S. Patent Office.

Students in grades 1-6 worked through various modules of the Imagine Program, including Art Park, MARS (Moving At Rapid Speed), Saving Sludge City, I Can Invent, and Recess Remix. Each module helped students learn problem-solving and teamwork skills while encouraging imaginative solutions to everyday problems such as pollution and limited resources.

The week culminated with a parent open house featuring the students’ creations and inventions, made almost entirely of recycled materials.
